Grant Eligibility Status
Grant approval is managed by the GIA initiative within the "Effective Altruism" Declaration! workstream of GitcoinDAO.. If you are a grant creator, please take 5 minutes to read this page. All grants must be platform-eligible, and there are separate criteria for eligibility for each round (Main + Ecosystem + Cause rounds) 1.1. Platform Eligibility - No impersonation
- No hateful/racist/sexist content
- No fraudulent activity
2. Main round eligibility. Is this grant eligible to participate in the Ethereum Main round? (Three Strike Rule:
Grants will generally be rejected if they fail three of the following criteria. Exceptions may apply.)
- No VC funding of 500k or more
- No current or announced token sale, airdrop, etc.
- No affiliation with Ethereum
- Not open source
- No quid pro quo, etc.
Note that for rounds other than the Main Ethereum round, there is a "round owner" who hosts the matching pool and has complete control over the rules of that round.
Brand Ownership Verification: If this status is displayed and your grant has not been approved, you need to verify your brand ownership. Please DM @GitcoinDisputes on Twitter from the Twitter account listed on your page with the requested information. A GIA member will reach out to you via Twitter or the grant wall. Tag Validity: FDD can approve several round tags when approving grants on the platform. If the requested tag is not displayed here, it may not have been reviewed by the round owner yet. Please wait for about a week before submitting a support ticket. Do not use the dispute form below for denied tags. To dispute a decision, you need to provide information such as a mistake by the reviewer, a gray area in the policy, or a change in circumstances. To file a dispute, please apply here. If you file a dispute, please monitor the dispute. Grants submitted after June 17th will only be reviewed when the next Open Approval Time arrives. The next OAT will start one month before GR15 begins (August 15th).
